The book Report from the Waterfront, Fantini: stories of an italian design factory.

The book “Report from the Waterfront. Fantini: stories of a factory of Italian design was published by Rizzoli in September 2021. We presented it to the press and the trade in Milan at the new ADI Design Museum and in the historic Rizzoli bookshop in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele.

Daniela Fantini explained the genesis of the book, which marks a milestone in the history of the company and its evolution.
“It is a story that moves me because it links the past to the present: from the origins of our factory through the beautiful story of the founders, my father and uncle, to the development and evolution that have brought us today, as the second generation, to be recognized worldwide as one of the leading companies in the sector. With the continuity of a same fil rouge, consisting of our founding values – professionalism, passion, the search for product quality, business ethics – which have never changed since then.
As in the spirit of our company, however, the book was also a team effort, so my thanks go to all the people at Fantini who in different ways have contributed to the result.
To take up the metaphor of the garden, each person added a seed that led to a splendid flowering. However, the book is not only a point of arrival for what we have done, but it is the basis from which we start today, with pride and enthusiasm towards future projects”.

Editors of the book Renato Sartori and Patrizia Scarzella. Author of the graphic project Massimo Pitis, illustrations by Anna Sutor.

"This book is an important project that the company has been cultivating for some time. Like when you design a garden that takes time to bloom, the book project has taken shape over the years and at a certain point we realised that it was the right time to do it, to communicate and make the reality of Fantini fully known."
