Fantini Milano: Aboutwater and Michael Anastassiades protagonist of the milan Design Week scene
With its innovative, original and unconventional work, Michael Anastassiades was the protagonist of the Milan Design Week scene, author of new products for top design brands. Besides Aboutwater, he presented new projects for Flos, Cassina, and B&B Italia.
The work of Michael Anastassiades lies between art and design and it often aims at inspiring dialogue, participation and interaction.
In the Fantini Milano showroom, with a scenographic installation signed by Anastassiades himself, the evening dedicated to the presentation of AA / 27, the mixer created for Aboutwater (the collection born by the partnership between Boffi and Fantini) took place.It was a super crowded and festive event. Unexpected, essential and functional, the mixer consists of two distinct elements – the handle and the spout – joined by a third horizontal cylindrical element. The dimensions, the thickness and the volume of the different elements are balanced and proportionate.
But it is the effect caused by the seemingly suspended spout, which does not rest directly on the deck, the most innovative and surprising aesthetic and technical factor, and contributes to making this project even more unique and special.
