AM/29 Aboutwater Boffi and Fantini: the new project by Alessandro Munge

AM/29 is the latest addition to the Aboutwater collection by Boffi and Fantini, designed by Alessandro Munge. Defined by its natural form, refined proportions, and tactile presence, the collection is the result of meticulous detailing and careful ergonomic consideration.

The guiding principles behind the project, harmony, rhythm, measure, and clarity, reflect Munge’s design ethos. As he describes it: “A connection between experience and form. Inspired by a shared moment, the collection is born from that time spent together. Balance and proportion define the result.”

AM/29 is characterized by its contoured handles, shaped to offer a fluid, comfortable grip. The series is available in a range of PVD finishes, including the new Ruthenium PVB–a tone reminiscent of chrome but with a cooler, more contemporary nuance. A defining detail of the design is the dual-finish effect: the upper part of each handle is polished, while the remaining surface features a brushed finish.

With studios in Miami and Toronto, Studio Munge is led by Alessandro Munge, a Canadian designer of Italian heritage whose work has earned international recognition. Munge began his professional career at Yabu Pushelberg’s Toronto office, where he developed his talent by working on major hospitality and retail projects.
