Waterfront: Industry and natural landscape

The Fantini headquarters and Casa Fantini Lake Time hotel projects are among the most renowned international examples of the successful integration of built architecture into the natural landscape.

The integration of architecture into the environment is an increasingly central theme in the cultural debate between architects, town planners and landscape architects.
The latest contemporary design approach is based on the mediating action of architecture as an interface between the natural and artificial environment. For this school of thought, the starting point for design is to conceive of architecture as an organism sustainably embedded in an ecosystem.

These are the basic premises of the two architectural projects designed by architect Piero Lissoni, who has succeeded in interpreting the company’s intentions in the best possible way.
