Goletta dei Laghi, the historic campaign devoted to monitoring the health of Italian lakes, reporting problems, and promoting examples of positive management and sustainability, is returning to Piemonte.
On July 11, 12 and 13, Legambiente Piemonte e Valle d’Aosta will be at Lake Maggiore (Piemonte shore) and lakes Orta, Avigliana and Viverone, with institutional events, scientific monitoring, citizen science actions, and press conferences.
On Tuesday, July 12, at 10:30 a.m., Fantini will host a press conference to present data on the health of the Piemonte shores of Lake Maggiore and Lake Orta based on microbiological sampling.
Lake Orta is taking shape as a true pilot project for this type of investigation, with the goal of becoming an open-air laboratory of national importance, not only from the scientific perspective, but also in terms of the environmental humanities.
