The AK/25 collection, designed by Paik Sun Kim, from the Aboutwater Boffi-Fantini brand, has won the Compasso d’Oro award.

AK/25, designed by Paik Sun Kim for Aboutwater Boffi-Fantini collection, has been awarded the ADI Compasso d’Oro by the international jury of the XXVI ADI Compasso d’Oro.
The Award Ceremony was held in Milan, at the headquarters of the ADI Design Museum in Via Ceresio 7.

AK/25 has been awarded the prestigious prize with the following motivation from the jury: “for its solid structure, a severe, elegant and unexpected project, the result of the constructive dialogue between two Italian companies and an oriental designer”.
For Boffi and Fantini the award recognizes the value of a strategic alliance between the two brands, both leaders in their own industries at international level. Together, they have created “Aboutwater”, a line of high-end, sophisticated bathroom fixtures collections designed by some the most famous designers in the world. This award acknowledges the talent of Paik Sun Kim, a Korean architect and designer with great sensitivity, who prematurely passed away in 2017.

AK/25, as the other products awarded with Compasso d’Oro and Honorable Mention, becomes part of the ADI Compasso d’Oro Collection, which has been declared of “exceptional artistic and historical interest” by the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities since 2004.
