Giovanna Talocci

Her profound interest in innovation and research on materials and technologies and her penetrating observation of reality have allowed her to work as a designer in very different fields and for many prestigious companies such as Teuco Guzzini, Effegibi, Foppapedretti, Fantini Rubinetterie, Poltrona Frau, Provex Industrie, Falper, Valpra, Fratelli Guzzini, Fornara e Maulini, Luceplan, Rapsel, Viasat, Italaquae, San Lorenzo, Domo.
She has received important acknowledgements: she was short-listed four times for the ADI Design Index and has received three special mentions for the Compasso dOro and four Design Plus awards.
Moreover, Teuco’s Seaside bathtub is the only product included in the Bathroom section of the interactive video installation Geografie Italiane (Italian Geographies) set up by Studio Azzurro for the MAXXI Museum in Rome – a permanent and in-progress tale-workshop on architecture and design in the second half of the twentieth century which covers a 40 square-metre wall of the Museum.
Besides working as a designer, Giovanna Talocci is also as a curator of cultural events and a consultant for trade fairs and shows, she hosts and participates as a guest in TV shows dedicated to design, and holds courses in universities and institutes of design.
She has been a member of ADI – the Italian Association for Industrial Design – since 1979 and part of its National Executive Committee since 2004. She is also a member of the Steering Committee of the Italian Premio Nazionale per l’Innovazione (National Award for Innovation) and was a member of the first Italian Council for Design. Ph.
