Fantini Milano is located in the historic heart of the Brera district, in the cobbled courtyard of a period building offering the tranquillity and charm of nineteenth-century Milanese architecture.
The large entrance window, surrounded by greenery, welcomes visitors to a special space that combines architectural rigour with a soft atmosphere, created with home furnishings and details typical of a comfortable and elegant home.
The architecture of the site is defined by the spatial subdivision that respects the original structure, of which it preserves some elements, and by the use of stone and marble as the materials of choice.
Brightness is the main guideline for the project, in neutral colours dominated by the white of the walls and bookcases where the products are displayed, the beige of the armchairs, the pastel grey of the large curtains with a scenographic effect that enhance, by contrast, the dark stone – Avola stone, Raw texture by Salvatori – of the gallery with the products.
Luminous walls and technological devices dialogue with typical home furnishings: bookcases, decorative collectibles, the large chandelier: it is a dialogue between modernity and tradition, a metaphor for the company, a true factory of Italian design that combines crafted manufacturing skills with the most innovative industrial processes.
Architect Piero Lissoni, who designed the project, was able to interpret the brief in the best possible way with a concept that goes beyond the vision of the traditional showroom as a space for display and sales, transforming it into a place of welcome that has the warmth of inhabited spaces. The domestic atmosphere of this ‘metropolitan interior’ is one of Fantini Milano’s plus points, a place in which to relax and enjoy the pleasure given by the sight and sound of water.
