Corporate social responsability

Since 2012, the company has been involved in a major Corporate Social Respon-sibility project in Africa, in Burundi, where it implemented the 100 Fantini Foun-tains for Africa project between 2012 and 2014, and subsequently participated in the construction of a school for 500 children in Buterere, completed in 2021. On its own territory, Fantini has also financed the S.A.I.L.I.N.G. project for the monitoring of the waters in the Maggiore and d'Orta lakes district carried out with the CNR of Verbania.

The leitmotif of both projects is water, an element that forms the basis of the company’s production activity. Such a precious commodity that we sometimes take for granted, but which in many countries of the world is difficult to access, a precious re-source that we must safeguard everywhere, because it is not an infinite resource for our planet.

Individual and collective awareness of social issues is growing more and more: corporate social responsibility is certainly a very topical issue. I believe that not only as individuals, but also as companies, we must now invest in this direction. I feel it, for me and for Fantini, as a sort of ethical and moral obligation.

Corporate social responsibility’ is an attitude which, following the ex-ample of Adriano Olivetti, has characterised historic Italian companies and today has taken on new ethical and social importance.

It derives from philanthropy, but increasingly Corporate Social Responsibility has become a strategic orientation of companies aimed at assuming socially responsible behaviour in the face of public opinion. In evolved markets, companies are expected to participate actively in social dynamics and make a concrete ethical commitment.
